Community Partner of the Year: Walk the Walk Foundation (Nominated by Tyler Heights Elementary) was represented by Nicole Dolan, Kim Dolan, and Dave Mitchell.
Walk the Walk’s dedication and commitment to supporting low-income families by providing essential resources is truly commendable. Tyler Heights Elementary School regularly welcomes over 30 caregivers with children ages 0-5 for programming that helps to connect families with community resources. The goal is to ensure that the youngest learners are gaining the skills they need to be ready for kindergarten. Walk the Walk supports these programs by providing a variety of supplies. Families who have received support have expressed immense gratitude and have shared stories of how these resources have made a significant difference in their lives. Walk the Walk also provides every student at Tyler Heights with the supplies that they need to begin the school year. A teacher shared the impact of the annual supply drive, “Students are always so excited to see everything we have set out on their desks, and it allows us to jump right into getting to know our students and creating a classroom community. These donations truly allow us to get off on the right foot with our students and help us build a welcoming, safe space for our students. We are so grateful to Walk the Walk for supporting the Tyler Heights community.”
